Lung Health Assessment.

As the leading cause of cancer deaths, more people die of lung cancer than colon, prostate and breast cancer combined.
And if found after the disease has spread to other parts of the body, survival rates dramatically decrease. For this
reason, early detection is crucial to survival — especially since symptoms can be confused with other, less deadly,
respiratory problems.
If you have a family history of lung cancer, smoke or have had long-term exposure to second-hand smoke, learn your
risk with a Lung Health Assessment, offered free through IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care.
Regular exams can help detect lung cancer early. In addition, a Lung Health Assessment can evaluate your personal risk
for lung cancer. This assessment includes a Pulmonary Function Test, which determines the amount of air your lungs can
hold, how quickly they move air in and out, and how well they put oxygen into and remove carbon dioxide from your blood.
A Lung Health Assessment can be completed within minutes. Invest in your future by getting your free Lung Health
Assessment and, if necessary, a free follow-up evaluation with a pulmonologist. Staff from IU Health Goshen Center for
Cancer Care will also be available to answer your questions. But space is limited, so registration is required.
Remember, if you’re at risk for lung cancer, finding it early could greatly increase your chance of survival.
